ABOUT ME
Hi i'm Sophie and I run Sophie Vickery Beauty!
My little business was created in 2017 when I started doing beauty and makeup in the evenings after my 9-5 job.
In 2019 I took the plunge and quit my full time job to focus solely on my business and here we are today... still growing and doing what I love more than anything!

Outside of work i'm just a girly girl who loves abba, a spicy margarita, a old good sing song, dogs, clothes shopping and curry takeaway!
Ive always been obsessed with makeup, its all i ever used to ask for at Christmas' and birthdays!

I’m also a fellow 2027 bride (eeekkk!!), so i know how important all the vendors are when securing yours for your big day- I'm also here for a good old natter about it all if you need to offload!

Bridal makeup is a true honour, responsibility and creative addiction all in one- its where i'm happiest and DEFINITELY where i'm suppose to be.

I wouldn't be where I am today without all my amazing and loyal clients and brides, you've stuck by me through it all and I can truly say you're all so much more than just clients, you're friends!

KRISTINA GASPERAS ENDORSEMENT COURSE
At the start of 2026 i took part in an online academy course with Kristina Gasperas.
Kristina is known worldwide for her makeup skills and academy, so i knew this is something i wanted to give my all to!
After weeks of hard work and completing 6 different makeup looks, i found out i passed the course and have been endorsed by the Kristina Gasperas academy.
Now a recommended makeup artist on her website, i am so pleased to have gained more skill and tips from Kristina.
You really can never stop learning!
TOP 25- MAKEUP ARTIST OF THE YEAR
In March 2021, I was in the finals of the UK Hair and Beauty Awards for 'Makeup Artist of the Year'.Â
To have even got to the finals was a huge achievement in itself, seeing as thousands of applicants enter and this was my first industry competition.Â
I am still absolutely blown away to announce that I placed in the top 50 and top 25, finishing in 21st place!!
No words describe how amazing it feels to be recognised in something you're so invested in and love doing!

As well as placing 21st for Makeup Artist of the Year 2021, I was also awarded 'Highly Recommended' in my chosen category!Â

One of my biggest career achievements to date... I was selected as a finalist for the 'Makeup artist of the year' position at the UK Hair and Beauty awards.
Im honestly so overwhelmed and proud, thousands of people enter this competition and to get to the final is an absolute honour.Â
I placed 21st in the whole of the UK!!
